Gavin, Editor of www.altsounds.com "I was looking at his [photos for] Flood Of Red, From Autumn To Ashes and Hundred Reasons and yours, and yours have such a great life and character to them. You capture the moment and the personality in that one single frame. That makes the whole mood come flooding at you - whether you were at the gig or not..." Anthony Morgan, Editor of www.lucemfero.com "I much prefer your style as it's more organic. When I view the picture, I feel like that's what you saw through the lens when you pressed click. It takes a snapshot of that moment in time, and preserves it so that others can gain a genuine flavour of the concert in question." Anneka Sillitoe, Editor of Hazard Warning "Whether in an interview or live situation Nadine’s pictures just seem to come out in such a good light and really show the natural reaction of all involved. I love her style it’s so bright and realistic, I love asking Nadine to come interview a band with me because I know I’ll get the best possible pictures I can." |

Can we use your photographs ? Of course, i have no objection to my photographs being used on myspace/facebook. You will need to ask permission to use the photographs on anything other than myspace/facebook first though ! You are NOT allowed to edit or remove the name off the images. I cant save images from your gallery... If it doesn't allow you, try to right click save on the white border around the image. If that doesn't work. right click and view properties, copy and paste the image location into a new browser and save from there. How much do you charge and what do we get ? At the moment i charge £20 plus travel fare. I will send you a disk with the full-res un-watermarked images on to use as you wish. Reasonable credit would be nice in places. Why do you hate flash ? Flash just takes the mood/feel away from the photograph, gives it no atmosphere and its annoying to performers, well most times. I would rather sneakily get a photograph of the band being them selves than them doing some cheesy rock pose at me. I rarely use it and I only will if its dire, so please respect the style I choose and considering the location you ask me to come to first. So do you study ? I've never studied photography. I'm self taught. Everything I've done is from first hand experience, experimenting and talking to other lovely photographers. How did you start ? The usual, I took a small digital camera to some gigs. I didn't think much of it, I just wanted some snaps to remember the gig. Only that my friend noticed a few I took at a chimaira gig he liked and sorted a pass out for me. I didn't even have a camera, so I bought a Fuji Finepix (it's a wannabe SLR) camera. DONT! I wish I hadn't and saved up and buy a real SLR camera. Did that gig and thought fuck, that was fun... Then bought myself a real camera, a Canon 20d in October and never looked back since, I still love it to pieces! What equipment do you use ? I use a Canon 20D Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Canon 50mm f/1.8 Canon 90-300mm f/4.5 Canon 35-80mm f4.0 Canon Ex 430 Flashgun Centon FH85 Flashgun If you want to ask me a question, feel free to email me. nadine.b@btinternet.com Contact; nadine.b@btinternet.com |
